Stripes are an almost inescapable trend this spring, so Zoe Saldana's Armani Privé is a fitting pick. The wide red-and-white stripes and hip gathers could have easily skewed towards candy cane, but Saldana has the poise to pull off bold gowns that would swallow some of her contemporaries, such as the purple Givenchy pom-pom dress she wore to last year's Oscars. (Coincidentally, Chinese actress Fan Bingbing wore an Atelier Versace at yesterday's premiere of The Artist that was reminiscent of Saldana's Givenchy.)
